Moremi Crossing Camp

A Traditional Adventurous Water Camp, Moremi Crossing Camp is perched on the edge of Ntswi Island in the Okavango Delta, Botswana

Moremi Crossing is a place where the wild heart of the Okavango beats just a little louder. Perched along the edge of Ntswi Island, the camp sits beneath a canopy of riverine forest -towering palms and ancient hardwoods that provide shade, serenity, and sanctuary to some of the Delta’s most elusive creatures, including the rarely seen Pel’s fishing owl.

From this timeless setting, Moremi Crossing offers one of the Delta’s most complete safari experiences. With access to both water and land-based activities, guests can glide silently through the papyrus in a mokoro, set out on foot across Chief’s Island in search of big game, or venture into the Gunn’s Private Concession on thrilling off-road game drives. The camp’s spirit is rooted in discovery -of wildlife, of wild places, and of self.

Built to embrace the natural rise and fall of the flood, the camp practically floats above the Boro River. Its central crescent-shaped structure, raised on stilts, houses open-air dining and lounge areas that command sweeping views across the water. From the moment you arrive, the landscape wraps around you—elephants grazing on the floodplain, red lechwe bounding through the reeds, and Delta breezes whispering through the trees.

The camp offers 14 beautifully appointed Tented Suites, along with one spacious Family Suite and a romantic Honeymoon Tent. Each canvas room is elevated on a private wooden deck and faces the seasonal floodplain, offering uninterrupted views and a strong sense of immersion in the surrounding wilderness. Inside, you’ll find a spacious lounge area with soft armchairs, a ceiling fan, and a writing desk for journaling your sightings. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided, as well as USB charging ports and open wardrobe space for convenience.

The en-suite bathrooms are elegantly designed, with flushing toilets, double vanity basins, and refreshing outdoor showers that let you rinse off beneath the stars. The Honeymoon Tent adds an extra layer of indulgence with a romantic outdoor bathtub overlooking the water - a perfect setting for a soak at sunset.

At night, lanterns light the pathways as the camp settles into its quiet rhythm. The sounds of the Delta come alive - frogs chirping, distant hippos grunting, and the occasional roar of a lion rolling across the floodplain. Moremi Crossing is more than just a camp; it’s an invitation to step into the story of the Okavango and make it your own.
