Angama Safari Camp
Angama Safari Camp is a Luxury Mobile Safari Migration-Season Retreat in the Heart of the Masai Mara, Kenya.
Deep in the wild heart of Kenya’s Mara Triangle, where the drama of the Great Migration unfolds between July and September, Angama Safari Camp offers a front-row seat to one of nature’s greatest spectacles — without sacrificing an ounce of comfort or style.
This light-footprint, exclusive-use camp hosts just eight guests in four spacious en-suite tents, each one thoughtfully designed to echo the spirit of a bygone era. With a landscape orientation, the tents are positioned to take full advantage of the natural light, breeze, and uninterrupted views across the plains — so even from the comfort of your bed or writing desk, the safari continues. Interiors feature extra-king-length beds, double bucket showers, dressing rooms, separate w/cs, and familiar Angama touches such as red Fermob rocking chairs and furniture by master craftsman John Vogel.
Angama Safari Camp captures the romance and adventure of the Golden Age of safaris, brought into the 21st century with flair and grace. Here, the only thing separating you from the Mara’s abundant wildlife is a stretch of canvas — yet every modern comfort is close at hand: flushing toilets, hot running water, fresh ice on request, and a cosy guest area featuring leather couches, a Fermob dining setting, and a lovely open-air gazebo perfect for tea, lunch, or sunset drinks.
What makes this camp truly special is its intimacy and exclusivity. With a 13-member private staff, including two dedicated safari Guides, a Camp Host, Chef, Butler, Tent Steward, and additional team members, your stay is entirely customised to your pace and preferences. No shared vehicles, no fixed schedules — just your own rhythm, your own adventure.
During Migration Season, the camp’s mobility becomes its greatest strength. You’ll be perfectly positioned to witness the river crossings as they unfold — first to arrive, last to leave. Being based inside the Mara Triangle, you’ll have access to extra hours of game viewing before sunrise and after sunset, when the bush is at its most alive. And with camp so close, you can easily return for a meal, a siesta, or a change of clothes — no need to exit the park.
Whether you’re sharing stories around the campfire under the stars, enjoying a book in the gazebo, or setting off on a full-day safari with a picnic packed just for you, Angama Safari Camp is designed for those who want to experience the magic of the Mara on their own terms — completely immersed, deeply cared for, and gently spoiled.
This is not just a safari; it’s your safari — planned entirely around you, with the same warm, intuitive service Angama is known for. Whether you're two guests or eight, the space, staff, and safari experience adjust to fit you perfectly.
Come with curiosity. Leave with stories.
