Tucked beneath a grove of winterthorn trees along a peaceful channel of the Zambezi River, Old Mondoro is one of Zambia’s most iconic bush camps – small, soulful, and immersed in nature. With just five chalets and one family house, this intimate, solar-powered camp offers a raw and authentic safari for those who crave real connection with the wild.
Here, the wildlife comes to you. Elephants browse through camp, hippos wallow just metres away, and leopards prowl nearby. Located in the open woodlands of the Faidherbia Forest, Old Mondoro is famed for its exceptional big cat sightings, as well as abundant plains game, buffalo, birdlife, and river scenes.
